Hey Kids,
I want to let everyone know that we are planning a visit from author Liz Lantigua on September 20th. Ms. Lantigua wrote the book, Mission Libertad. It is a story about a family who emigrates from Cuba to the United States in the 1970s. Fr. John was instrumental in arranging Ms. Lantigua’s visit.
If you haven’t read your two books of choice yet for your summer reading, you may want to read Mission Libertad so that we can have a better conversation with the author when she arrives. If you have already read your two books, then you could choose Mission Libertad for your first book report if you wish.

I have a question about the odyssey meeting on August 1st, When you say bring a question for the academic bowl do you mean ask a question about the academic bowl or ask a question that could be in the academic bowl?
