Silver and Gold

Welcome to the spring 2014 Student Blogging Challenge! (Hey, Kids! register here. )We hope to find some new friends and revisit some old friends this spring. I am reminded of a Girl Scout song I learned years ago, “Make new friends, but keep the old, one is silver and the other gold.”

Last year, we met some blogging buddies at Huzzah! and in Mrs. Krebs’ class.

This year, we have recently been introduced to some students in the classes of Mrs. Rovira and Mrs. Emerick .  We hope these students will become our new blogging buddies, a.k.a. high tech pen pals.

Whether we call them friends, buddies, or pals, we hope to find more of them through this spring’s Student Blogging Challenge.

  1. Dear Mrs. Donofrio,

My best friend is my best friend because he is like a brother to me by listening to what I have to say and the putting his opinion in. We also have invented our own language. We stick up for each other and have fun together. Who is your best friend Mrs. Donofrio?

    John

  2. Hi Mrs. Donofrio
one of my best friends is Louis. He goes with me to Epiphany and is actually going to High School with me as well. Me and him went to kindergarten together, and became great friends there. One of the amazing things about our friendship is that it has lasted through many ordeals. What are some traits that best friends have?

  3. My best friends Sydney and Megan, are extraordinary. They are always there for me, and we stick up for each other. Sydney, Megan, and I fight sometimes, but we always make up in the end. It is hard to stay mad at someone who can make you laugh. We laugh at the same things, have the same hobbies, and share opinions. We are unique, each in our own way, but we work together often and have no trouble working as a team. When You were younger, who was your best friend, and why were they your best friend?

  4. Hey Mrs. Donofrio. I was on my blog and I did a little research and I got my cluster map on my blog. I was so excited and now I can enter my drawings for the great prizes. Hope to blog you later!

    • Yay, Hannah! Good for you! I am so proud of you. I hope you win one of the prizes! Do you have your eye on something?

  5. Mrs. Donofrio,

My best friend and I have been through many up’s and down’s. The fact that they stuck around is a big part of the reason they are my best friend. My best friend and I share many of the same interest’s. They have great music taste, movie genre, and sense of humor. My best friend is awesome.

    One example is. . .
There was this time when we were riding back to there house from an activity. We were in the car and the music was pretty loud. Not loud like we were polluting the air with music but definitely loud enough. Anyways, we were singing along and kind of doing our little dances and when a part of the lyrics slipped out of the speakers we just had to look at each other and laugh because they just happened to be so perfect. We share so many memories together and we hope to make many more.

What is one of your favorite memories with your best friend?

    ~ Heather

  6. Dear Ms. Donofrio,

What makes my best friend the best, is that she is always there for me, always understands me, and dosen’t care when we get a little crazy. What makes your best friend the best?

  7. Dear Ms. Donofrio,

What makes my best friend the best is that she always comes over on her buissies nights and talks to me when I have a problem, and she is always there for me when I need her. What is special about your best friend?
