  1. I resemble Polyphemos in personality which I think is partly true. I’m happy with the results. It says I’d rather be alone than in large groups which is true but what isn’t true is that I sometimes forget my manners and don’t care what people think. Did you take the quiz Mrs. Donofrio? Who do you resemble in personality?

    • I did take the quiz. I came out to be most like Odysseus: I like to travel, but am most happy when I am with my family and friends. I agree. (Of course. it I am traveling with my family and friends, that is perfect.) It also says I am clever, which pleases me. I am also pleased that you ended your comment with a question! You wrote a perfect comment. Yahoo!

      • Hi Mrs. Donofrio!

Liam, Sam and I also took the quiz and all turned out to be like Odysseus too! We enjoyed the quiz and agree with the results. Like you, we also think travelling with friends and family would truly be the perfect day! Thanks for posting this fun quiz!

        • Thanks for taking the quiz, boys! I am so happy to see you on our class blog. If I could travel like Odysseus, I would visit you at your house.
          Love, Auntie Beth

  2. Hi Mrs.Donofrio! I did the quiz and it show that I was Helen. I like the results too. Are you going to put more quizes like this on the blog?

  3. The quiz said I resemble Helen. I like the results, but I wouldn’t say that I l love drama. I enjoy these quizzes! Have you taken the quiz? If you have, who were you? I hope you put more quizzes on here!

    • I was Odysseus; I think that may be because I said my perfect day would be to take a daytrip somewhere. You know how I like travel and maps! I wouldn’t like to be lost at sea though. I’ll see if I can find some more quizzes. Brooke asked for more, too.

  4. I took the quiz that you posted on the blog, and I got Helen. I really like Greek mythology, and it was fun to see who I would relate to!

    • Hi Johnny,
Yes, not everything is a perfect match. Of course, Helen was the most beautiful girl in the world, too. You have that in common!
      ~Mrs. Donofrio

  5. Dear Mrs. Donofrio,
I took the quiz and found out I was Achilles. It was fun to find out about that and about Greek mythology,
    John

    • Hi John,
I’m so glad you took the quiz. Achilles was a great warrior. Have you studied Greek mythology in school? My students love it, and I always start the year off with it. Thanks for responding!
      ~Mrs. Donofrio

  6. Dear Mrs. Donofrio,

I took your quiz and got Polyphemos. I kind of agree with the quiz. I like being alone but sometimes I just need my friends. Thank you for the quiz. If you like mythology you should the Rick Riordan Books.

    • Thanks for your reply, and I’m glad you took the quiz. I do like mythology, and many of my students have read the Rick Riordan books. Although I have yet to read any myself, I have read numerous book reports on the book, and I have seen the Percy Jackson movie, which I really liked. Rick Riordan was a middle school English teacher who wrote the Percy Jackson series because his children enjoyed hearing the myths. I think that is really neat. My students and I are working on some children’s books, too. They are about a dog named Teddy who escapes from his family and runs through various cities throughout the world. We have a blog for Teddy, too. http://www.teddytours.edublogs.org. If you know any younger students, they may enjoy following Teddy on his travels.
Thanks for visiting us! We are all very excited to begin our blogging journey! We will visit you again soon!

  7. Dear Mrs. Donofrio and Students
I disagree with the test and I don’t think that’s who I am and I’m going to try it again but thanks for showing it to us.
    From,
    Mason

    • Dear Mason,
Thanks for taking the quiz. I am sorry it didn’t go your way! Whom did it say you most resemble? Did it change the second time you took it? Which Greek hero/god do you like the most?

      ~Mrs. Donofrio

      • Dear Mrs. Donofrio,
I took the test again and i didn t get the same i got Helen the second time and Odysseus the first but thanks for showing the test to us and my favorite hero is Odysseus but thanks again.
        From,
        Mason

  8. Dear Mrs. Donofrio,
I took the quiz and I got Athena. I really liked the quiz. I kinda agree with the one I got. Thank you for the quiz.
    From, MaKenna

    • Hi MaKenna,
Thanks for taking the quiz! I bet you are very wise, just like Athena, goddess of wisdom. The city of Athens is named for her. That trait will serve you well in school this year. I hope you visit us again soon, and we will visit your class blog, too.
      ~Mrs. Donofrio

  9. Hey, Mrs. Donofrio
I like the quiz you made and the hero i got was hera i dont know why. I like greek mythology because you learn lots of new stuff all the time and my favorite greek hero is hurcules because he does lots of crazy things like killing the nemion lion. Who is yout favorite hero.

    • Hi Franklin,
Hercules is one of my favorite heroes. When I took the quiz, it said I most resembled the hero Odysseus. Odysseus is brave and strong, but he also had some faults that I don’t particularly like. I do like to travel, though, and Odysseus sure did a lot of that. Thanks for taking the quiz and commenting on it, too!
      ~Mrs. Donofrio

  10. Dear Mrs. Donofrio,
I love quizzes and I really enjoyed this quiz! I was pretty satisfied with my results. They said that I resemble Helen. I agree with the part that says my phone is constantly ringing but I can’t say I deeply enjoy drama. What did you put down for the lunch money question? Were you happy with the outcome of the quiz?

    • Hi Daniela,
Of course, during the time of Ancient Greece, Helen was the most beautiful girl in all the world. The Trojan War began as a fight between two men for Helen. That’s the height of drama! I took the quiz a couple of weeks ago, so I don’t remember what I put for the lunch money question. I was pretty happy with the outcome. I do love to travel like Odysseus, but I hope I have better behavior than he does!
      ~Mrs. Donofrio

  11. Dear Mrs Donofrio,
I took the quiz and I am Herakles. I pretty satisfied with it. I most definitely do like a challenge. I sure hope people admire me for my courageousness. I like to know if you have more quizzes. I hope you write back.

    • Hunter, I think Herakles is a perfect fit for you! He is the epitome of Greek heroes. I’ll try to find a few more quizzes. Maybe I can find one to see which Knight of the Round Table you most resemble. My guess would be Galahad, the greatest of all knights, and your role in the play!

  12. Dear Mrs. Donofrio and students,
Thank you for this fun quiz. I took the quiz and I came out as Polyphemus and I think that is partly right but, I also like to be with my friends too. Thanks for this fun quiz.

    • Hi Kennedy,

I liked this quiz, too. Thanks for taking it! One of your classmates also came out as Polyphemus. Have you ever heard of the story called The Odyssey?

      ~Mrs. Donofrio

  13. Dear Mrs. Donofrio,
I liked your hero post. But I have to disagree with who I was. I was Helen and I am not a girl. But thanks anyway because I learned about Greek mythology.

    Jordan

    • Thanks for being a good sport about the quiz, Jordan. I got Odysseus, and I am not a boy, but I do like to travel. I wish that I could go to all the exotic places Odysseus did, but without all the danger. Thanks again for taking the quiz.

      ~Mrs. Donofrio

  14. I came up as Athena several times. I also got Helen twice, cyclops once, hercules once, and Athene four times. I think this is cool. Can you post more? Will they be related to Greek mythology?

    • If I find more, I will post them. I just happened upon this one in my research. It is cool, though. Maybe I can find one which will tell us which one of Arthur’s knights we resemble.

  15. hey Mrs.Donofrio,
I took the mythology quiz aswell! My result was Hera! i was very astonished at that result. I was expecting anything but Hera. How did you react when you found out your result?

    • Hi Kelsey,
I agree. I wouldn’t pick Hera for you either. I got Odysseus, and I was a little surprised because I don’t think of myself as the heroic type, but I do like to travel and would go to the ends of the world to get back to my family. So, in that regard, we are similar. Glad you liked the quiz!

  16. Mrs. Donofrio
I took the quiz and got Polyphemus. Witch I agree with because I love animals. I know a lot about mythology and I like mythology. Thank you for showing this site.
    Jared

    • Hi Jared,
I’m glad you liked this quiz. My kids like Greek Mythology, too. Have you read or seen the Percy Jackson stories?
      ~Mrs. Donofrio

  17. Mrs. Donofrio
Yes I have read the Percy Jackson series. The author of the Percy Jackson series also has a series with the Egyptian Gods too. I have read both series and learned a lot from them.
    Jared

    • Hi Jared,
My kids read the first book of the Egyptian series (I think it’s called The Red Pyramid), but didn’t gravitate to it the way they did to Percy Jackson. Did you know Rick Riordan was a middle school language arts teacher before he wrote all the Percy Jackson books? Cool, huh?
      ~Mrs. Donofrio

      • Mrs. Donofrio,
did you know the reason why Rick Riordan wrote the series is because he wrote it for his son so he would understand Greek mythology.
        Jared

        • Hi Jared,
I did know this about Rick Riordan. As a middle school language arts teacher, I find it very inspriring that someone once in my position has attained such success as a writer. It gives me hope. Do you like to write?
          ~Mrs. Donofrio

  18. Hi everyone,
I took the quiz and got Achilles. You guys should check out the book series Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan. Thanks for the awesome test.
    From Liam

    • Hi Liam,
Thanks for the suggestion to read the Percy Jackson series. Most of my kids have read that series and done book reports on it. I haven’t read it yet, but I have read A LOT of book reports on it, and our class watched the movie last year after reading about the Greek hero, Perseus. Have you ever read his myth? I like his story as well as I liked Hercules.
Did you know Rick Riordan used to be a middle school teacher?
      ~Mrs. Donofrio

  19. Hi Mrs. Donfrio’s class, my name is Monica and I’m from Huzzah. The quiz said I was Odysseus which I agree because I do like crafting things and like visiting new places. ~ Monica

    • Hi Monica,
I think Odysseus is the most popular of the characters in the mythology quiz. I was Odysseus, too. Perhaps many people like to travel. I bet that is one reason why we like to visit other class blogs, too. It is like traveling, but is quicker and less expensive! We’ll see you on Huzzah tomorrow!
      ~Mrs. Donofrio

  20. Hello My Name is Bekkam,
I really like that quiz that you guys did. I was that Pirate Boat. If you guys have ever heard of the Hockey News I suggest you guys check the magazine out.

    • Hello Bekkam,
Thanks so much for writing to us. We love to get visitors and comments. Were you the Argo on the mythology quiz? The Argo was a ship for Jason and his Argonauts who were on a quest to get the golden fleece from King Pelias.
I have not heard of the Hockey News. I bet hockey is a big sport in Canada. There is not much hockey in Florida as we are in a tropical climate. (Think palm trees.) Here the kids play a lot of baseball, football, and soccer. I had two students who completed a triathlon last month, too. They swam in the Gulf of Mexico for a quarter mile, biked 14 miles, then ran 3.1 miles. I used to live in Boston, Massachusetts, though, and the Bruins are the NHL team there. Boston is pretty close to Canada, but it is on the opposite side of Canada from where you live. I have been to Montreal. I enjoyed it there! Have you ever been to the United States?
      ~Mrs. Donofrio

  21. Mrs. Donofrio,
    Hello My name is Atze,
When I took the quiz I got Herakles and well, I am strong and I do have a temper and I’m not afraid except spiders. I really enjoy reading Rick Riordan books on my nook. It has taught me a lot about mythology. So now I think I can answer most questions about mythology
    Atze

    • Hi Atze,
Glad to hear you like reading Rick Riordan’s books on your Nook. My kids like his series as well. Have you read his Egyptian books, too? My kids like Percy the best.
      ~Mrs. Donofrio

    • Hi Brae,
Thanks so much for visiting our blog and trying the quiz. What characteristics do you have in common with the Sphinx? When I took it, I got Odysseus because we both like to travel. I have never been to New Zealand, but would love to see it one day. I did put a Google map of what I hope is your town, or at least some place close to your town, on one of our posts. Your class was our 100th visitor. That was a milestone for us. We had a blogging party when we hit 500 visitors. Today we surpassed 1000 visitors. Our next goal is to get all 50 of the United States. We really like looking up all the countries who visit on the map. Today we found Malta, Ukraine, and Saudi Arabia.
Thanks for visiting. We hope to see you again soon!
      ~Mrs. Donofrio

    • Hi Ryan,
Thanks so much for visiting our blog and taking the mythology quiz. Your class was one of our very first international visitors, so you are all special students for us. What characteristics did the quiz say you had in common with Polyphemos?
Our class is now studying the Middle Ages. So many kids liked the mythology quiz that I tried to find a middle ages one, too, but the best I have come up with so far is desinging your own coat of arms. Did you try that activity, too?
We will be staging a Medieval Fair soon, so I was very interested to see your school market. What did you sell? It looked like a great success and lots of fun, too.
Thanks for visiting, and we hope to see you again soon!
      ~Mrs. Donofrio
